My top 5 DIY face masks! πŸƒπŸ’š


With too much time on my hands, I wanted to test out different DIY face masks! For the past few weeks, I've been trying different ingredients and combinations to see what suits my skin. I finally have my top 5. Read on!! πŸ₯°

1. Yogurt. Honey. Turmeric.




Ingredients:
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
How to apply:
  • Mix the ingredients together, make sure the mixture is not too runny. 
  • Apply on the face, and keep for 15- 20 minutes.
  • Wash with lukewarm water.
What does it do:
  • Helps fight acne and uneven skin.
  • Adds glow to the skin.
  • Removes dirt and oil from the skin.

2. Clay. Witch Hazel / Rose Water. Tea Tree Oil.



Ingredients:
How to apply:
  • Add the clay and witch hazel / rose water in a bowl.
  • Mix till nicely blended.
  • Add tea tree oil and apply the mask.
  • Wash with lukewarm water after 15 minutes.
What does it do:
  • Helps clean the pores and absorbs excess oil.
  • Hydrates the skin.
  • Helps fight acne.


3. Aloe Vera Gel. Tomato Juice.


Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp Aloe Vera Gel. I used Seven Mineral's Aloe Vera Gel, but if you have an aloe vera plant, peel it and use the fresh gel! 
  • 2 tbsp tomato juice
How to apply: 
  • Mix aloe vera gel with the tomato juice and apply on face.
  • Leave for 10-15 minutes and wash off with cold water.
  • You can also add a few drops of lemon juice to this mask.
What does it do:
  • Helps reduce scars.
  • Soothes the skin.
  • Adds glow to the skin. 


4. Avocado. Honey. Banana.


Ingredients:
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1/2 tsp honey
How to apply:
  • Mash the avocado and the banana to make a paste.
  • Once they're combined well together, add honey and mix. 
  • Apply the mask and leave it for 20 minutes.
  • Wash off with lukewarm water.
What does it do:
  • Removes dirt and oil from the skin.
  • Gets rid of dead skin cells.

5. Lemon Juice. Sugar. Olive Oil.



Ingredients: 
  • Lemon juice (not more than 1/4th lemon)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
How to apply:
  • Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Apply the mask and leave on for 15 minutes.
  • Wash with cold water. 
What does it do:
  • Exfoliates the skin.
  • Helps fight acne scars and uneven skin.
  • Helps fight acne.
